We are looking for people to join our concept team, people who are driven to create and communicate concepts for Warhammer; characters, weapons, armour, beasts, war-machines and the worlds in which they inhabit.

Our miniatures design studio is at the creative heart of Games Workshop, inhabited by a group of diverse individuals with varying skill sets and backgrounds brought together by a common set of shared values, tireless creativity and a passion for creating the best Warhammer Miniatures that we can.
Key responsibilities
- Produce inspiring concept sketches and drawings, following a brief.
- Discuss new and innovative ideas with the other members of the concept team, refining your own work accordingly.
- Give and receive constructive feedback on any ideas, sketches and drawings, in the pursuit of the best Warhammer concepts.
- Take ownership of your own learning and development, in particular the areas of Warhammer imagery, art and art history, cultural and military history.
Skills & Requirements
The successful candidate will:-
- Have the ability to constantly produce new and exciting concepts for Warhammer by producing sketches and drawings.
- Demonstrate good aesthetic judgement and can describe what makes a great Warhammer Miniature.
- Demonstrate a desire to be part of a creative team, to enjoy discussing and exploring ideas while giving and receiving feedback enthusiastically along the way.
- Have the thirst for artistic, historical and cultural knowledge and references in order to create new and unique concepts for Warhammer.
Location: This role is based full time in our UK headquarters in Nottingham.

About the Company
Games Workshop has been making Citadel Miniatures, the finest fantasy miniatures in the world, for 40+ years. Set in the worlds of Warhammer & Warhammer 40,000 these miniatures are prized by collectors, modellers & gamers alike. We do pretty much everything ourselves because we are obsessed with the quality of our products & services.
Our global HQ is in Nottingham, UK & is home to over 1000 employees. This is where we design our miniatures, games, books, paints, brushes & all the other products that people need to enjoy these gem-like creations. We also design & make the injection moulding tools that allow us to manufacture our miniatures to the highest standards. Every Citadel miniature sold worldwide is designed, engineered, manufactured & packed at our HQ, then dispatched to one of our global warehouses or straight to the customer.
We have over 500 retail stores around the globe, as well as trade sales teams selling to over 5000 independent retailers worldwide. The UK retail operations, European trade sales & export sales to territories where we don’t have stores are all run from our HQ, as well as our global webstore & customer service team which supports these sales businesses. Our HQ is also home to our global service centre with all of the functions needed to keep a £350m+ public company running – IT, HR & Finance to name a few.
All our retail & trade operations for the US & Canada are run from Memphis & Dallas, USA & from Sydney, Australia for Australia & New Zealand. Both sites have dedicated warehouses ensuring retail stores & trade stockists across these regions get the same high level of service as our UK & European customers. They have service centres too that make sure the business can keep running whatever happens. We also have a small office in Dusseldorf, Germany, which supports our continental European retail stores, as well as very small offices in Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore & Malaysia to support our growing Asian operations.
