Role Description

The Data Analytics Team is adding a dedicated Sr. Technical Project Manager! This role will act as a key end-to-end driver, facilitator, and champion for all team projects, initiatives, and analytic results being driven by both Activision Publishing and Activision Game Studios, ensuring tasks are prioritized, implemented, and delivered on time.

The Role:

  • Drive end-to-end project/request delivery management, process management, identifying and solving risks, and dependencies, analytic product management, advocating and championing best-in-class project management fundamentals
    • Drive Jira methodologies while improving team consensus to prioritize team efficiency
    • Scrum master: proactively optimize and align sprints and retros across 3 analytic teams, with current goals of Data Analytics, to ensure tracking and specification on all sprint tasks.
    • Able to consistently drive work related to a feature/request from inception to integration
    • Support multiple incoming requests from all 4 major Call Of Duty Game studios- Finance, Product Management, Central Design, and other internal teams
  • Drive Jira methodologies while improving team consensus to prioritize team efficiency
  • Scrum master: proactively optimize and align sprints and retros across 3 analytic teams, with current goals of Data Analytics, to ensure tracking and specification on all sprint tasks.
  • Able to consistently drive work related to a feature/request from inception to integration
  • Support multiple incoming requests from all 4 major Call Of Duty Game studios- Finance, Product Management, Central Design, and other internal teams
  • Champion and support transparency, ownership, resourcing, and accountability with studio and publishing partners, Data Analytics Leads, and leadership through clear and concise communications
    • Provide timely followups, breakdowns, and in-progress work and ensure that items meet the goals of our stakeholders
    • Ensure that roadmaps of results are generated, maintained and triaged as initiatives progress
    • Proactively identify key studio drivers as POCs for Data Analytics to ensure forward momentum on initiatives flagged as critical priorities
  • Provide timely followups, breakdowns, and in-progress work and ensure that items meet the goals of our stakeholders
  • Ensure that roadmaps of results are generated, maintained and triaged as initiatives progress
  • Proactively identify key studio drivers as POCs for Data Analytics to ensure forward momentum on initiatives flagged as critical priorities
  • Generate and implement solutions for team members and customers as the needs of initiatives evolve over time
    • Identify & develop risk mitigation plans in partnership with customers, ICs, and leadership
    • Coordination with team members on current prioritized franchise areas of interest

  • Work with Team Leads to determine MVPs on Jira tickets to ensure that a balance is found between speed to insights and available resources. Establish and maintain documentation repositories to support ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of technical project management experience in gaming, technology, analytics, engineering, digital, or other technical teams
  • PMP / PMI certification or similar

Skills Required:

  • Strong Experience with Agile/SCRUM and/or traditional waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent understanding of JIRA & Confluence or other project management tracking tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with Databricks & Tableau
  • Experience with full game lifecycle (Alpha to Release)
