As a Senior Experience Designer on Design Home, you’ll report to the Art Director and work with a team of enthusiastic developers who are passionate about interior design. You will use your energy and knowledge to develop amazing experiences for our highly engaged players and inspire new players.

You should excel in a collaborative and iterative environment and help lead these processes and methods forward. You will work with your Engineering, Game Design, UXR and Production partners to create experiences that surprise, delight, and invite millions of gamers around the world to create beautiful spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Art Director, Design and Product Management to create engaging and immersive player experiences while navigating the game’s interface.
  • You will define the visual tone of the UI and ensure alignment with the overall art direction of the product
  • You will help establish the visual language of the UI that includes iconography, typography, visual hierarchy, brand expression, and motion that align with the art style of the game.
  • You will deliver high-fidelity UI screens and components that align with the product’s experience goals, usability and accessibility standards, and brand.
  • Drive design solutions that are informed by player data (quantitative and qualitative).
  • Partner with user research to conduct studies on future work, analyze the data, and formulate results.
  • Create conceptual mockups, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Work with engineers and implement UI in-game engine.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of UX/UI experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, product designer, or similar role. Your experience includes some combination of game and/or mobile products, live service, and social networks.
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies and user data analysis (quantitative and qualitative)
  • A portfolio demonstrating user-centered designs on mobile platforms.
  • You have an optimistic outlook, curiosity, and the desire to inspire excellence.
  • Knowledge of usability principles and designing for accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity.
  • Enjoy creative problem-solving, and value respectful feedback processes.
  • You love playing and making games, with an understanding of what makes them fun and engaging.
  • You are passionate about interior design and decor trends.
  • You are comfortable presenting and rationalizing design strategies and decisions to diverse audiences, using these opportunities to educate and promote.
  • You can clearly articulate yourself with excellent written and verbal communication to a broad range of audiences.
  • Proficiency in multiple modern design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Principal, Adobe CC, Figma, etc.
  • A basic understanding of Maya and Unity is a plus.
  • After Effects is another plus, enabling you to contribute to the animation and VFX needs of the Design Home user interface

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $122,400 – $176,300 USD Annually

  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $115,700 – $176,300 USD Annually

  • Jersey City, NJ :

º $142,000 – $176,300 USD Annually

  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $131,000 – $174,800 USD Annually

  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $115,700 – $163,100 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
